Joseph Katz and His Coat of Many Colors is Dr. Seuss’s imagining of the famed Bible story. Joseph was the beloved 11th son of Jacob, who gifted him a multicolored coat, turning his brothers’ envy into hatred. They sold Joseph to traders who took him to Egypt, where he would eventually predict, prepare for, and then lead the people—including his brothers—through seven years of famine.
